Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Misty is just a sweetheart of a collie. Even though she came to MWCR as a rescue from a puppy mill, she seems to have weathered that experience without any of the typical, puppy mill trauma. She is sweet, playful and sociable with both humans and other dogs.
Misty is a very well behaved girl who is fully house trained and can be left alone without any worry of destructive behavior. She is initially a little hesitant to go into her crate, but then goes right in. However, because she is such a good girl, there is really no need to crate her. She knows the commands of “sit” and “down” and she is working on “stay” and “come.” She loves grooming and she is fairly quiet for a collie, only barking when the other dogs at her foster home encourage her to join in. She rides nicely in the car and likes to go for walks on her leash with only a little pulling.
Misty is a very sociable girl who greets everyone she meets with a wag and a smile. There are no children at her foster home, so we haven’t been able to evaluate her with kids, but she is such an easy going, playful dog, that she would almost certainly enjoy playing with children. She loves the other dogs at her foster home and would love to have a friendly, canine companion at her forever home. Cats are another unknown quantity, but she has shown no signs of herding instinct or prey drive, so she might be agreeable to a feline friend. Of course, she should not be left alone with a kitty until it has been shown that she is, indeed, cat-friendly.
Misty is ready for a forever home where she can romp and play and be part of a caring family. She would love to have a fenced yard, but she listens well, so she a fence isn’t absolutely necessary. Other dogs would be great and she would probably also be a good playmate for children. She would enjoy being included in her family’s activities and then, at the end of a day of fun, snuggling up with her people and just hanging out. On a cold winter’s night, what could be better than a nice, warm, lap collie?
