Lucas's Story...
Ok, so who out there actually thinks being a Trekky is cooler than being a Star Wars fan? That's right, no one. I still remember the first time I saw Empire Strikes Back – What a cinematic masterpiece!!! See, my real name is Luke…which is pretty cool- like Luke Skywalker and all….but I decided I'm more the intellectual, creative type than the hero, save the world type….so Lucas is just fit better. I mean George Lucas is a total Genius! Anyway, let's talk more about me…I'm a sweet and gentle fella, playful too but not too bold. I am a fast learner, already crate trained and catching on to some basic words like 'sit'. I will need continued training though, I’m just a young boy, a bit of a pup really, who will need structure, guidance and some confidence building. I do love people very much and get along great with other dogs too. I'm very people focused and eager to please…not always the most common traits found in a Huskies, but I assure you that you'll find plenty of Husky quirks in me! How about you let me join your family, maybe we can spend our first night curled up in bed watching the Star Wars Trilogy? 1 year old-45lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; microchip, neuter, reduced cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam , leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucas, a Portland Siberian Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siberian Husky for sale in Portland, or seeking a Siberian Husky dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siberian Husky breeders who help with Siberian Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
