Gumbo's Story...
Gumbo – Gumbo is a 6-month old male puppy who is a mix of Chihuahua and maybe terrier? He’s under 10# and is the sweetest little guy ever. He came into the shelter with his two litter mates, all of whom were very scared of people. After a couple months in foster care, barely a hint of that initial fearfulness remains. Once he gets to know someone, he is just the biggest cuddle-bunny and loves nothing more than to sit on your lap and get his neck scratched. Although he enjoys playing with the other dogs in his foster home, he also happily entertains himself. However, a strong curiosity does get him into mischief sometimes! He’s being fostered over in the San Juans but if you’d like more information on him, please contact Amy at 360-378-6249 or Gumbo is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, and treated for worms and fleas.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gumbo, a Seattle Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Seattle, or seeking a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Seattle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seattle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seattle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seattle paves the way for another one to be saved.
