Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ava is a 10-month-old, 45 lb., Staffordshire Terrier mixed with Boxer. If Ava was a Disney character come to life, she would be Snow White. She is not only much more gorgeous in person than her photos, she is a feminine, petite, gentle dog who loves other dogs. She is the type of dog that like to chase and understands when a dog that she is playing with tells her, “That’s enough!” When she joined our program, she quickly learned the routine and was out in the play yard with all the dogs. She was rescued from the South L.A. shelter when her time was up, due to overcrowding. Her story was that she had a good home, with a small dog, in an apartment but they both ended up at the shelter. Her companion dog was quickly adopted but poor Ava remained behind. Ava is quiet, rarely barks, is house and crate-trained, walks nicely on a leash, is on the submissive side, and can be adopted to a home with a male or female dog or no dog. She is not the type to be destructive if left alone. Because she used to live in an apartment, she could easily be an apartment/condo dog with no yard again. All the basics are done, spay, vaccinations and microchip. Call 818-407-4145 or apply online at downtowndogrescue.org
