Jewel's Story...
Jewel is a young Torbie (Tabby/Tortoiseshell), about 1 year old. Jewel was trapped in a busy Edmond parking lot – hungry, cold, and scared – where she was trying to exist on scraps from garbage cans. She is a super sweet and very affectionate young girl with beautiful markings. Jewel LOVES to play with toys and is learning to be more cuddly in her foster home. She does not do well with other animals. But with love & patience, and the safety and security of a loving home, she will make a wonderful addition to your family!

All of our cats and kittens have been fostered in a home environment and are litter box trained, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and have been tested for FIV and FeLV prior to being made available for adoption.

About Our Rescue Group...
Our mission is to effect change in the way community cats are viewed and treated in the City of Edmond.

Our primary focus is to humanely and non-lethally reduce the numbers of free-roaming community cats in the City of Edmond by implementing an aggressive Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program.

TNR is the most effective long-term approach to reducing the feral cat population in the City of Edmond. TNR involves humanely trapping, spaying/neutering, vaccinating, marking for identification, and then returning of feral cats to the location from which they were trapped so that they may live out their lives. TNR respects feral cats' right to live, and their niche in the community, without adding to the homeless cat population. TNR stabilizes the feral cat population and, over time, reduces it while substantially reducing or eliminating nuisance behaviors.

Through the process of TNR, we regularly encounter friendly, unowned, stray cats as well as young kittens that can be socialized. All are vetted and put into adoption.

Our Adoption Process...
Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescued cat. Each year there are tens of thousands of cats that are made homeless in Oklahoma City and the surrounding areas. Sadly, there are more cats than there are suitable homes.

We take adoptions very seriously. Our adoptable cats are typically found as strays trying to survive in feral cat colonies where they were either abandoned, neglected, or abused. We are the only advocates for the cats we rescue, and feel that it is critical for our adoptable cats be placed in safe, loving, caring and permanent homes. Whether you plan to adopt an adult cat or a kitten, you are making a 10-20 year commitment to that feline. Therefore, we reserve the right to deny the adoption of a cat to anyone whom we feel will not provide humane, responsible, and lifetime care of the cat.

All of our cats and kittens have been fostered in a home environment and are litter box trained, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and have been tested for FIV and FeLV prior to being made available for adoption.

Though not a requirement in most cases, we encourage you to at least consider adopting kittens in pairs. Kittens find it especially comforting – and having a built-in playmate often helps them integrate into their new family more easily.
