Ace's Story...
Ace is 8 yo old (12/14/12) and weighs approx. 8 lbs. He is slightly leggy and is very underweight from his weeks in the shelter. Since rescuing and placing in foster care, he is fattening up. He is friendly, extremely loving, and low key. Not yappy. Easy going, low energy boy. Submissive temperament, extremely sweet. Ace loves everyone and loves to be petted. GREAT lap buddy! Good w/other dogs, cats, and kids. He was rescued from a high kill shelter in SC after his owner surrenderred him. All pets come w/up to date vaccines, deworming, microchip, and health certificate from veterinarian within 48-72 hrs of transport. Adults are also sterilized and heartworm tested prior to placement. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ace, a Sussex Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound for sale in Sussex, or seeking a Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound dog from a breeder in Sussex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sussex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sussex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sussex paves the way for another one to be saved.
