Hettie's Story...
Hettie-Fox Hound/Beagle female

Hettie was a young mother, with small babies, left in a high kill rural shelter. During a cold
time of year, now a nice place to try to raise a family. As soon as the Rescue could move
them, they were taken to a safe, warm place. Hettie's worries were over. The puppies weaned
now and it's time for her to get on with finding her own home. Hettie is a good girl, crate trained
and will be easily housetrained. She's very submissive, sweet personality. She gets along great
with other dogs and is a playful sort. Hettie's adoption fee is $250 to help cover the expenses
of getting ready for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hettie, a Germantown Foxhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Foxhound for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Foxhound dog from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Foxhound breeders who help with Foxhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
