Sherman's Story...
Simply adorable! Sherman is a 18 week old kitten with a plush grey tabby coat . He's a gentle boy who likes all things "kitten"! Initially shy, Sherman warms up once he feels safe & needs a calm, understanding home who will allow him to come around in his own time. Sherman is also seeking a home where he'll have the companionship of another similar age kitten with whom he can play/cuddle when you're not there!

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. We do not have a shelter and rely on a group of dedicated foster homes to care for our felines until a "fur-ever" home can be found. We actively promote the importance of spaying and neutering and best practices in companion animal care. The majority of our cats/kittens come from high-kill shelters. We do not receive any government funding and rely on private contributions, 100% of which go to provide medical care, food and supplies.
Come Meet Our Pets...
All of our cats are in private foster homes; therefore, we require an application be completed before setting up appointments to meet them; an application can be e-mailed, faxed or mailed upon request. Adopters must be within a reasonible driving distance to No. VA as we do not ship our animals; we participate in an adoption event held in Wash. DC most Sundays in conjunction with other rescuers. Please e-mail us for specifics.
Our Adoption Process...
We strive to make the "purr-fect" match through our interview and application process. Adoption fees include all medical work (FELV/FIV testing, shots; spay/neuter); home visits are required prior to final placement. The majority of our kittens are only available for adoption in pairs or as a companion to another young cat/kitten already in the home.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Northern Virginia/DC/MD; will consider nearby out of area adoptions if adopter is willing to travel to meet us and we are able to enlist the help of a rescue partner for the required homevisit..

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sherman, a Arlington Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
