Here's what the humans have to say about me:
IDGSR WELCOMES MOSS INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!
Moss came to IDGSR via a shelter with his friend Chanel. Their owners decided
they were disposable and while at the shelter they got a "doggie cold", which made them eligible for euthanasia. We were contacted and asked to take these kids.
Moss is a 'pocket shepherd', meaning he's a little guy. At approx. 45-50lbs, he is fully grown and will not get any larger. Moss is a HCM aka High Content Mix.
Moss is a sweet little guy and very loving and knows the command sit.
He will need more basic obedience work but is easy to handle and sweet.
He will need a no cat household.
If you would like to make Moss a part of your family, please apply
with the rescue.
Folks who think that getting a dog is not a lifetime commitment or that training their pets is an option should simply not be pet owners. You are not just a dog owner for a 'while' or 'until'. It's a responsibility no matter what your circumstances. Whether you are moving, have a child, get a divorce, get married, go on vacation, lose a job, get a job, No Excuses.
Thankfully Chanel and Moss are some of the lucky ones, so so many are
not so lucky.
Each dog's adoption donation varies depending on the age of the dog.
$300 for any dog 1 year and younger (BABY)
$250 for any dog 1-3 years (YOUNG)
$200 for any dog 3-7 years (ADULT)
$150 for dogs over 7 (SENIOR)
All our adoptable dogs are up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing & monthly preventative and have been spayed or neutered.
Everyone must submit an application before an appointment is made to meet the dogs. Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
***Not able to adopt? Consider FOSTERING one of our four-legged friends***
Donations to help us care for all the dogs in our program are also greatly appreciated and may be made from our main petfinder page: http://IDGSR.petfinder.com
