Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Mongoose. I’m 11 yrs young and what they call a Lab /Hound mix. I weigh about 60 - 70 lbs. I’m not sure what I did wrong to end up with that name but my foster mom is trying to come up with a nickname. Like Mongoose isn’t bad enough, now she wants to change it to - wait for it - “Goosey”. REALLY? PLEASE, I’m BEGGING YOU … someone email her and adopt me before that name sticks.
I’m a really good boy and have a lot of energy for an 11 yr old. I am in a home with dogs from 4 lbs to 100 lbs and I’m fine with all of them. I am housetrained and crate trained. I know a few commands like sit and stay. I will go and lay down away from the table at dinner time.
My people left me at the shelter after 11 yrs because they were moving. Now I am looking for a forever home to spend my golden years. If you can provide the home and food, I will provide all the love you can handle. I could even be your family's Christmas puppy!!
