Sony's Story...
Sony is a beautiful, BIG, energetic Malamute looking for an experienced dog owner. She was brought in to us when she was found as a stray. Sony has a sweet side that is certain to charm you but also has a lot of strength. She will require a special home where someone will understand the challenges of raising a husky. She is great with other dogs and mostly wants to play with them. If you have another dog in your home, we'd have to make sure that they got along before sending Sony home. Sadly, because of her high prey drive, Sony shouldn't go to a home with cats. She needs lots of guidance and training as she grows. She has quite the thick coat and will require daily brushing to keep it from becoming matted. We think Sony would do best in a home with experienced dog owners without small children. If you have what it takes to bring this beautiful girl home ask us about Sony today - she's absolutely stunning!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sony, a Ithaca Alaskan Malamute dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Alaskan Malamute for sale in Ithaca, or seeking a Alaskan Malamute dog from a breeder in Ithaca.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ithaca already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ithaca breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Alaskan Malamute breeders who help with Alaskan Malamute rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ithaca paves the way for another one to be saved.
