Egan's Story...
IDGSR WELCOMES EGAN INTO THE SAFELY OF THE RESCUE!

Egan and Enya are brother and sister, both are under evaluation, being vetted and we will have assessments in the coming weeks. They are both young about a yr. old and will need obedience work and training. Both are sweet, loving and engaging. They were found on a very rural/remote area and their owners never came to claim them. They were facing Euthanasia and were in Imminent Danger of losing their lives. These youngsters have a bright future now that they are with IDGSR. They are in a temporary foster home and we will have more updates soon.

Each dog's adoption donation varies depending on the age of the dog.
$300 for any dog 1 year and younger (BABY)
$250 for any dog 1-3 years (YOUNG)
$200 for any dog 3-7 years (ADULT)
$150 for dogs over 7 (SENIOR)
All our adoptable dogs are up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing & monthly preventative and have been spayed or neutered.

Everyone must submit an application before an appointment is made to meet the dogs. Dogs are
introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Egan, a Greeneville German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Greeneville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Greeneville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greeneville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greeneville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greeneville paves the way for another one to be saved.
