Django's Story...
IDGSR Welcomes DJango into the Rescue!

UPDATE: Django has proved to be the ever lovable goof. He is silly and a typical young German Shepherd who is super curious and a very busy boy; he will steal your heart. Django is a submissive male, very sweet and loving. He has been pack introduced with a dozen German Shepherds and gets along well with everyone. He is well socialized and still learning doggie manners.

Django is crate trained and does well in the house. He is a typical young dog who is full of energy and will get into stuff if he's bored, so he needs to get enough exercise and training. We think Django is a purebred German Shepherd. His ears are called 'soft ear' which can be linked to genetics, poor diet as a puppy or poor breeding. Whatever the reason, Django is a wonderful boy who will be a good friend and companion. As is needed with all young dogs, he will benefit from obedience training and guidance.

DJango is now safe with IDGSR coming from a hgh kill GA shelter where he was scheduled to be euthanised within hours. Like the new Movie, DJango is no longer a victim of circumstances and is free from facing death. IDGSR will find a wonderful family who will give DJango a new lease on life and an opportunity to become a Great Dog.

DJango is a young fella, estimated age of 10 months. His previous owners did him a disservice of not working with him in the area of training. We will be working with DJango on his doggie manners, house manners and socialization.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Django, a Greeneville German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Greeneville, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Greeneville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greeneville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greeneville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greeneville paves the way for another one to be saved.
