Sandy's Story...
You couldn’t make a dessert sweeter than me! I’m Sandy, the perfect addition to your family. I am a great age, a great size and best of all I am a great temperament. Very loyal and devoted, well mannered, easygoing and super social. I do great with children, other dogs, cats, chickens, horses……I’ve had training, am housebroken, crate trained and I don’t tent to wander. Ok, so I do have one small flaw- I am just too smart and loving so I’ve learned how to climb chain-link just so that I can go running back to you! Why would you want to keep me away anyway? 2 years old-55lbs. My adoption fee is $160 and includes; current shots, spay, microchip, 5 week Training Class, free veterinary exam (SE Portland/Milwaukie area) ,1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sandy, a Portland Golden Retriever/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Portland, or seeking a Golden Retriever/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Golden Retriever/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
