Prince's Story...
Prince is a playful, fun and wiggly, one-year-old, five-pound, male, brindle and white Chihuahua looking for a loving guardian. Prince likes other dogs, dancing for treats, giving kisses and going on walks. He would be happy in a home with a lot of attention and love. He needs someone who is patient and understanding because he does not appear to be housebroken, yet. His family had to leave the country and he was left behind. The funniest thing about Prince is his ability to sing … if you sing, he sings along … he absolutely mimics your voice! He’s so hilarious and fun. Prince is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, de-wormed, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. If you are interested in meeting and possibly fostering or adopting Prince, please contact Gloria at or 773-907-0305. His adoption fee of $200 benefits the rescued pets of Famous Fido’s. The Famous Fido rescue has dogs of all sizes and ages looking for loving guardians. They spend their days at the Grooming Boutique and Bakery at 5430 N. Clark Street in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood. Stop in, buy your dog a cookie and meet some of these lovable souls.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Prince, a Chicago Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
