My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cyrille:
Four years old. Raised in central NH on 5 acres with fenced in yard and
very large house. Likes to sit outside a lot. Is quite a vocal barker,
but barks for a reason. If you tell him "OK" or "Thank You" he is good.
He comes in a night and sleeps at the side of my bed. Very
affectionate and calm. Goes on daily hikes and walks in the White
Mountains. Is great with cats (we have two).
He is not good with birds and would like to find him a home where he can
be the only dog as he has periodic spats with his female sister.

The beauty of a Great Pyrenees can take your breath away, but they are unique
dogs which require dedicated owners who have thoroughly researched the traits
of the breed. Feel free to visit our website at www.nepyresq.org for information

Great Pyrenees are known for their barking as they were bred to be Livestock Guardians. HOWEVER, a dog not raised around farm animals does not automatically become an Livestock Guardian. They are trained from birth to do that job. If you need a working dog you should contact a reputable breeder for a trained dog. Find breeders at Great Pyrenees Club of America www.gpcaonline.org
