Rocky - COURTESY LISTING's Story...
Meet Rocky! He is a 1 1/2 year old Pit Bull who was found with a horrible leg injury by his foster family. They took him in, treated his injuries, and he is now heartworm negative, up-to-date on all vaccinations, neutered, and ready for his forever home. Rocky is housetrained, walking much better on a leash (he walks perfectly with a gentle leader), knows sit, is working on stay, and loves to play with other dogs. His foster siblings are small dogs, and they can't quite get used to playing with him since he wants to PLAY! Rocky's foster family adores him, but want for him to have the perfect home with doggy playmates that like to wrestle. If you're interested in Rocky, visit www.rescueabull.org to apply.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky - COURTESY LISTING, a Killen American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Killen, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Killen.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Killen already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Killen breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Killen paves the way for another one to be saved.
