Abel's Story...
Abel was pulled from a high kill shelter in southern Ohio. Apparently they could not afford to vet or even feed him. He WAS so thin. We fixed that. He is happy, healthy and well adjusted. Loves playing with my other dogs! Very greyhound in body type - but very soft short coat (good food) with some brindle - he is really striking and handsome with a heart of gold. So willing to please. He is about 6-7 months old and we think he has greyhound ears, body build and tail and pointer in him as well. A fenced yard is a must as he is mostly greyhound! Very sweet........all One Dog At A Time Dogs come with 1 free training session from Karin's Kanines and are fully vetted and crate trained before being adopted. Abel is a good quiet boy in his crate! He loves my 4 other dogs at my home and is a very smart boy! Abel's adoption fee is $200.00....

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abel, a Avon Greyhound/Pointer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound/Pointer for sale in Avon, or seeking a Greyhound/Pointer puppy from a breeder in Avon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Avon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Avon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound/Pointer breeders who help with Greyhound/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Avon paves the way for another one to be saved.
