Buddy's Story...
Buddy was found as a stray and covered in tar. His hair was trimmed due to the tar. He is estimated to be about 10 months old and weighs a little over 14 pounds. To our best guess, Buddy may be a schnauzer/poodle mix but he is adorable whatever breeds. He gets along great with the two dogs in his foster home and does okay with the cat. He loves to play all day long. He would do great with a family that has other dogs, or someone willing to have fur-play dates. He loves to go outside, play with toys and chew on bones. He loves to curl up with you or even at your feet. He is not a barker, and even with all that fur- doesn’t seem to shed. He is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered, tested negative for heartworms and started on preventative. Buddy will not be placed in a home with a dog weighing over 35 lbs. or children under the age of 7. His adoption donation is $150 and he is being fostered near Birmingham, AL. We do approve out of state adoptions but you MUST be willing to "fetch" your new family member. We do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting this baby, the first step is to submit an APPLICATION.

We do not place any dog in a home with "invisible" or underground fencing.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Birmingham Schnauzer (Miniature)/Poodle (Miniature) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Birmingham, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Poodle (Miniature) puppy from a breeder in Birmingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Birmingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Birmingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature)/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature)/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Birmingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
