WATCH MY VIDEO! Meet Amos! He is a 6 month old male, Dachshund mix. He currently weighs 7 lbs and should be about 9 or 10 lbs once fullgrown. He will stay a mini Doxie size. Amos was rescued out of South LA animal shelter.

Normally I would not describe a puppy as calm and mellow but little Amos is one laid back little dude. Amos is extremely mellow for a puppy and his favorite thing to do is cuddle with his people. He will tuck himself close to your body and snooze the night (and half the morning) away right by your side. He is friendly and happy when meeting strangers and would make an excellent family dog or a loyal companion for a single person. He is easy and versatile.

Amos loves to go for walks and will waddle along right by your side. He loves car rides and will sit in his car seat like a little gentleman. He gets along well with other dogs both big and small and is very appropriate and balanced in his dog to dog manners. Amos is doing fantastic with his housebreaking and will go outside to use the bathroom or he will use a piddle pad if that is his only option. He is just learning how to use the dog door and is quite proud of himself. He is not a yapper and only barks for appropriate reasons such as a doorbell ringing. Amos is a great companion who is smart and in tune with his people and a complete joy to have around.

Amos is neutered, micro chipped, rabies, dewormed and up to date on his vaccinations. If you would like to meet Amos please contact Theresa at treasuredtailsrescue@hotmail.com or call 951 852-7999. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amos, a Bellflower Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Bellflower, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Bellflower.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
