My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kerri was named for the nice lady at the shelter who helped to keep her safe and get her healthy before coming to rescue. It seems that Kerri was turned into a western Missouri shelter because 'something was wrong with her'. What the shelter workers saw before them was a bone thin chihuahua with skin lesions and eye infections. Turns out that the man was only feeding her chicken pot pies - every day - twice a day. Now I like chicken pot pies as much as the next guy but a steady diet of them? No thank you. The shelter director has a soft spot for chihuahuas so put special effort into getting Kerri well again. After several months of a proper diet, antibiotics and plenty of big time lovin', Kerri is ready to find her new home. We think that she is about 4 years old and she weighs 6 pounds. Kerri is spayed up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, on heartworm/flea preventative, is microchipped and has had a dental cleaning. Kerri's adoption fee is $200 with all vet work done.
