I am housetrained, not good with kids, and not good with small animals.
For adoption through Kindness Matters Ferret Rescue - Izzy is a silver female ferret, approx. four years old, litter trained, descented, spayed. She is a teeny little ferret. Preference will be given to a home where she does not have to be confined to a cage much or at all.
Izzy is very active and loves to check out everything. She has a great little personality. She loves to sleep curled up in a big blanket. She also loves to play in the tubes.
She is in good health, other than having the beginning stages of adrenal disease. This is when a tumor grows on the adrenal gland. Most ferrets will get this in their lifetimes. This is not deadly for the ferret unless left untreated. Treatment is a melatonin implant every four months. She got one in December and will need the next one in April. I do the implants for $45. She can also have adrenal surgery, which is $258 through the rescue at Bartow County Animal Hospital in Cartersville. This removes the adrenal gland and the problem. I will pay $90 of the surgery cost.
Izzy's a little on the thin side. That's probably from being so active. I feed her a soup mixture twice a day to keep weight on her.
She can be a little aggressive with other ferrets sometimes, more out of fear because she's so small. So, she's better off in a home without other ferrets. She's also better in a home without young children.
Adoption fee $20. Adoption fees help pay rescue vet and food bills. She does NOT come with a cage. I have cages for sale for pretty cheap. She does come with enough food and soup for two weeks, sleep sack, Ferretone and ear wash. Other ferret supplies for sale cheap: water bottles, harnesses, sleep sacks, hammocks, litter pans, Ferretone, ferret food, and much more.
