We didn't find GINGHAM. GINGHAM found us! Each morning as the volunteers showed up at the shelter to work, they noticed this shy, but beautiful dog just hanging there at the building. She was very shy but curious. The volunteers just felt that she was a neighborhood dog and just had wandered over to take a look at the other dogs. She was friendly, not aggressive in any way, and actually would "grin" at us. We finally began to feed her and she became a fixture there at the shelter. When we realized that she probably didn't have a home, we started her vaccines, had her spayed, and were actually surprised that she initially tested heart worm negative (and continues to be negative). We have her on all of her monthly preventatives and this wonderful girl is ready to head to her new home at any time. She would probably fit best in a quiet home, although she is good with children, probably a home with older children with a less active life style. She is quiet, rarely barks, and is a little on the submissive side. She is so very affectionate and loves to just be near you, wants to please you in any way and I think would be ideal as a companion or therapy dog. She has a beautiful close cropped white and brindle coat that is very low maintenance and just a gorgeous combination. Thank you for looking at our adorable girl Gingham.
