Duncan's Story...
Why Choose me?
Awww, this little guy is pure honey. Wiggly and playful, but melts in your arms when you hold him. He was a little bit shy at first when we took him out, but it took just seconds in the interaction pen for his tail to move from between his legs to high in the air and wagging. So he’s actually quite a brave little guy – he’s only been alive a few weeks, and he’s already on his own here. We just couldn’t get enough of him!

Please refer to the animal's ID number when calling animal control about a dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duncan, a Athens Hound (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Athens, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) puppy from a breeder in Athens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Athens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Athens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Athens paves the way for another one to be saved.
