Melody's Story...
This is Melody, she is an adorable scruffy Border Collie/Schnauzer/Terrier mix, and is about 4 years old and weighs about 40lb. Melody was sadly used to have many litters of puppies and then was dumped into the streets to survive on her own till Animal Control picked her up, and then was on her last hour at the shelter! Despite the terrible neglect that Melody had to endure her short life, she has a great and loving, happy spirit! Melody has an incredible loyalty and devotion to who ever loves and cares for her, she is very affectionate and so very smart and is always eager to please. Melody has a lot of energy to go running with and loves to be playful. She is good with other mellow friendly dogs once she gets to know them, and takes a little time to warm up to some new people, but once she trusts you, she is 100% affectionate and loving. Melody is a fantastic fun-loving dog, and will be an amazing companion dog for someone who wants a dog that is active, has a great personality, and again is so loyal to her family!
Melod is healthy, spayed, current on all vaccines and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Melody, a Van Nuys Border Collie/Schnauzer (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Van Nuys, or seeking a Border Collie/Schnauzer (Standard) dog from a breeder in Van Nuys.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Van Nuys already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Van Nuys breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Border Collie/Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Van Nuys paves the way for another one to be saved.
