My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my new name is RUBY and I'm a real pretty girl! I'm very shy, but loving, and I'll warm up if you have the patience and love in your heart to work with me a little. I love having my belly rubbed and will lay in your lap waiting for more. I live in a wonderful foster home with three kids, three other dogs and 1 cat.


I'm not really crazy about this thing they call "cat." I think cat's smell kinda funny. So she just leaves me alone and I do the same!


I do like kids, but sometimes their fast movements make me a little nervous. There is a 19 year old boy who lives here and I really like to play with him! The 8 year old boy takes the time to talk sweet to me, he's very kind. He pets me and I really like that, but my favorite thing of all is when he plays fetch with me! There is also a 5 year old little girl. She is very sweet to me, but she makes me a little nervous. These guys love to watch me throw the ball up in the air and fetch it again! It makes them all laugh! II get so excited when I meet new dogs, but then I realize they are just like me.


My dream ~ I'd love to find my forever home soon. A home with a nice big fenced in yard so I can run and play, fetch the ball, and live a happy life like I should. My foster momma would love to keep me, but poppa says that she wouldn't be able to take another foster dog who's in need, and there really are so many of us out there!


Do you think you have a nice place for me? I know I'm a big girl, but I promise not to eat all that much, and I AM potty trained!! Would you be kind and patient and let me win your heart? If you do, I promise to be the best companion ever!
