My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Onyx is an approximately 1-2 years old mix of Lhasa Apso and poodle, most likely. He is a high-energy boy that loves his toys more than any dog we know! He is happiest when he is chewing on a big soft squeaky toy and can entertain himself for hours. He loves to go for walks, and then snuggle under the blankets with you in the evening. He’s a great companion for children and gets along with other dogs.



Onyx is easily excited by small animals. He is not aggressive (he doesn’t bite or attack), but he does think it’s a great game to bark very loudly and repeatedly at them, so he is probably best in a home without cats or birds.



Onyx does have a slight dry/flaky skin condition, which may clear up with treatment or may be something that he battles his whole life. It’s not very noticeable, and in fact has improved since he’s been with his foster family and eating a high-quality food.
