Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tucker is a super sweet boy that craves attention and truly deserves a home for Christmas. This boy has never had a family to love him until he entered his foster home and now he needs a permanent home that will continue to show him how special he is. Won't you consider adding Tucker to your family for Christmas?
Tucker is 7-8 years old and has had a rough life. He wandered up to a house as a stray extremely thin. He was covered in scars and had obviously been on a chain his entire life. In his foster home we have found that Tucker is so happy to just be able to run around in a fenced yard. He gets along well with other dogs and seems to do great with cats and children. He has gained a lot of weight and is really looking great. He weighs about 50 pounds now. He has started trying to play with his foster mom and the other dogs. He is even asking for tummy rubs.
He is heartworm negative and on heartworm preventative. He has been neutered and is up to date on his vaccinations. He is now crate trained and rides well in the car. He is doing well on his housetrianing! He does pull on a leash some, but does walk on a leash pretty well. He has a significant scar on his right front ankle and is missing some toenails on that foot from being caught in a chain at some point. He is also missing several teeth and many of his teeth are worn, probably from chewing on his chain or rocks.
We are looking for a home for Tucker to retire in and enjoy the rest of his days. He still has a lot of spunk and is loving life now. He would prefer a fenced yard. He is so pleased to be free from his chain that he just loves every day. Please consider adopting this sweet guy and giving him the second chance at life that he deserves. (AE)
We are asking a reduced adoption fee for Tucker to help get him adopted. Please contact us for more information.
