Hi everyone - my name is Mitzie. I weigh about 17 pounds and I’m 8 yrs old. I’m spayed, up to date on vaccines and have been micro chipped too. I will act a little shy with strangers but I’m generally OK with men, women, dogs and cats alike. I have lots of energy and would love a yard to run in. Like most dogs, I also love to go for walks.

Since my ears are no longer painfully infected, and all the mats have been trimmed out of my coat, I am a really happy dog. I will snuggle next to you on the couch, but when I’m comfy on the couch, I don’t always like to be moved. I’ll follow you around the house, especially if you have food! I’m not a big cuddler, but will tolerate being held for a good massage.

I will usually do my business in the yard and always on a walk. If I get really excited I may make a mistake on the floor, especially if I haven’t been out or for a walk. I sleep quietly all night in my own bed or in a crate. I will come up on the bed for a belly rub, if invited, but prefer my own bed. I also know a few commands - come, sit, wait, paw. I take treats gently and am not food aggressive. Although I’m generally a quiet girl, I will react to noises with a bark but will settle quickly when checked. I would be happiest in a home with adults or older children; little children make me nervous.
