Darla's Story...
Darla came to the Shelter on January 5th. She will need to be spayed before she is adopted, but we are accepting applications for her. Darla is a gorgeous 1 1/2 year old mini-lop in need of a new home because her owner no longer has time to care for her. Her owner says she likes time our of her cage to run around and her favorite treat is apple. She likes being petted on the head and licks her owners hand. She hops high into the air when she's excited. She is super soft and fluffy and is a lovely bun. We will begin litter box training her once she is in the Shelter's care.

Rabbits are active, gentle pets that are happiest and healthiest when they have a large clean cage, lots of play time out of their cage, and plenty of fresh hay and veggies daily. All of the Medfield Shelter's bunnies are indoor pets and would not do well outside in a hutch. If you are interested in adopting a rabbit from our shelter, please fill out our adoption application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darla, a Medfield Mini Lop was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mini Lop for sale in Medfield, or seeking a Mini Lop from a breeder in Medfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mini Lop breeders who help with Mini Lop rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
