Zoey's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Zoey's Story...
Zoey was abandoned at the Eldridge PetSmart just before Christmas. She is a cute brown tabby who loves to chase a toy mouse or ball. She is also very people oriented and enjoys being held and petted. Having been raised with twin brothers, she's a bit of a tomboy and can more than hold her own against a very playful boy kitten. She likes to wrestle with the boys but then grooms them and curls up on top of them to sleep.

Zoey is fine with older cats and dogs. She is about 10-12 weeks old, updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and FIV/FELV negative. Her adoption fee is $85. Email to meet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zoey, a Houston American Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a American Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
