Here is what his foster family had to say:
Scampi is a very good boy. He knows his basic commands but could benefit from some additional obedience classes just to help reinforce what he has learned. He is smart and learns quickly and he is always eager to please.
Scampi is fully house trained and is good about letting you know when he needs to go out. He is crate trained and has learned the crate is his safe spot. He will go and nap in his crate or just play with a ball in there. He walks very well on leash. He is a very quiet dog in the home and rarely barks unless their is a good reason. Scampi grew up in an apartment and there were no issues.
Scampi would enjoy being part of a family and would love to have children that would enjoy tossing a ball for him or playing in the yard. He doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body and is not shy with strangers - he loves everyone. He is the kind of dog you could take anywhere with you and who loves to be a part of whatever is going on. He is very gentle with the cats and enjoys their company. He has always had a cat in the home with him.
Scampi is the definition of happy go lucky! He loves new things, new people, and new adventures. He is up for anything! He loves his people and is very loyal to them always welcoming with big kisses and hugs if you want one! Scampi would be a great family pet or a singles companion. He does great in both environments and is a very adaptable boy.
