My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wally is an adorable 13 week old mini Golden Doodle. If you have ever considered adding a Doodle to your family, this little guy might be just the fellow. Wally is a gorgeous red colour and looks like a Teddy Bear come to life. Irresistibly snuggly, Wally looks at you with that adorable face and you can't help but fall in love with him.

Wally has had a very good start in life. Sadly through an unfortunate turn of events that had nothing to do with Wally, his previous owner was unable to continue caring for him. What is a sad situation for one however will be a fortunate turn of events for the lucky family that adopts this little guy. Wally is friendly with everyone, is crate trained and is learning to do his business outside. He will be the perfect pet for an outgoing family that would enjoy this energetic, sweet little charmer.

Some Golden Doodle Info:

A Golden Doodle is a mixed-breed dog, the product of breeding a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. Like the Labradoodle, Golden Doodles were originally bred as the perfect solution for challenged folks needing a companion that wouldn't agitate their allergies, the Golden Doodle's low shedding coat has made them a family favourite since their appearance in the mid 1990's.

Golden Doodles are low-shedding, so if you and/or your family members are mildly allergic to dog hair, you may have found the perfect pet (aside from fish!). However, if dander and/or saliva are your allergens, any hairy pet who licks their coat may be trigger allergic reactions.

Mini Golden Doodles have a Miniature or Toy Poodle parent, and while smaller than Standard Golden Doodles, Mini Golden Doodles can grow to be much larger than their wee poodle parent.

Golden Doodles have the best of their parents' temperament. They are devoted, obedient, kid-friendly and intelligent like both Golden Retrievers and Poodles, and also have their parents' love of water. They love to play and fetch like their Golden Retriever parent. Very patient and easy to train, Golden Doodles are social and enjoy the company of other dogs and strangers. They're comfortable with either city or country life, as long as they have your good company.

Moderate exercise is sufficient for a Golden Doodle, likely of a daily fetch game and a long walk. It is important to embrace their social nature and provide them with lots of companionship, since they can be mischievous if they get lonely from long periods by themselves. Grooming is a rare task. A longer-haired Golden Doodle will need a good brushing once or twice a week, but a shorter-haired or clipped Golden Doodle will only need brushing twice a month.

As a mixed breed dog, Golden Doodles are healthier than either of their parents, aren't prone to any canine diseases of major concern, and have a life expectancy of 15 years.

If you think Wally would be a good fit for your family, please submit an application for consideration.
