Ian's Info...

I am already neutered, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Ian's Story...
Ian is a 5 yr old Rat Terrier mix male who is a people dog although he prefers to stay close to his foster mom. Now and then, you can
catch him sleeping next to one of the other dogs in his foster home. Ian is very much a lap dog and is very affectionate. He is about 75% house trained and getting better every day. Ian is crate trained but prefers to sleep next to you at night. He is shy at first, but warms up quickly especially when you have a treat. Ian gets along well with other dogs and cats.

As HAHS now has several adoption locations, please contact Patti at 913.766.5010 or pthun@kc.rr.com to find out when and where you can meet IAN!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ian, a Overland Park Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
