Tessa's Story...
Tessa, born around November 1, 2012, is one of three pups called the "Food Bowl Babies". They were picked up as strays in Tennessee on a cold winter day, and taken to the animal shelter. With only outdoor kennels and cold concrete floors, the pups opted to curl up in a food bowl rather than go in the great big dog house.

Tessa is the quietest of the litter. She really doesn't need to say or do much - she'll look at you with those eyes, turn her head just so, and you'll give her whatever she wants! You'll be powerless to resist when you add her to your family!

***All of our dogs are located in TN, unless otherwise stated in their bio above. We are a shelterless rescue, which means we do not have a physical location, so it is not possible to come to see multiple dogs at one time. We have a handful of foster homes up North, but the vast majority of dogs reside in TN. Our adoption fee is $450 and includes all their vetting, including their spay/neuter, and transport up to the Northeast.***

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tessa, a Williston Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Williston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Williston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Williston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Williston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Williston paves the way for another one to be saved.
