My story

UPDATED BIO: 10/09/2013: Hi everypuppy!! The vet says I am more like 1.5 years old versus 3 years old :). That explains why I'm so playful!!!!!

INITIAL BIO: 01/08/2013 Hi my name is Houston! I'm a Yorkie Silky Terrier mix. My foster mommy named me Houston because apparently I was trying to walk all the way to Houston, Texas when I was found as a stray on the streets. I was taken to a high kill shelter, and was very scared until UYR came to save me. I’m staying with my foster mommy who lives in Miami, Florida. Even though her house is far from the actual beach side, it is still paradise compared to the shelter. You can tell that I am very sweet and approachable because I don’t bark much. All I want in this new year is for someone to love me and make me part of their home. My foster mom thinks I’m about 3 years old and weigh 11.6 lbs. I am a little skinny and can afford to gain a pound or two. Since I was found as a stray, I love going for long walks (Houston anyone?). I am even up for helping you out with that New Year’s resolution by taking you for a run. Please come back soon and check for my updates. I gotta go now; my foster mommy is calling me.
