DJ Fuzz's Story...
DJ Fuzz is a gorgeous, fun, brave, snugly sweet, playful and loving, seven-month-old, male, golden-eyed, grey and white tuxedo kitten looking for a loving guardian. DJ is a happy, playful, fun and friendly cat who loves people as well as other cats and dogs. DJ wrestles with a tiny Chihuahua in his foster home. And, his best kitty friend is Zami, a blind, three-month-old kitten. DJ Fuzz wasn’t always such a happy guy. He was hit by a car and brought to Chicago Animal Care and Control with his jaw broken in eight places and a shattered left rear leg. He was lucky to have been taken home by a vet tech who fosters for Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control. He received the veterinary care and love he needed to make his comeback. His jaw was repaired using wires and plates, and he had to have his leg amputated. DJ Fuzz is now healthy, neutered, de-wormed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, and virus-tested. To meet and possibly adopt him, please contact his foster mom Katye at singsingkitty@yahoo.com or text or call 815-603-1157. His adoption fee of $95 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control. Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control spent over $2,500 saving DJ Fuzz’s worthwhile life … if you’d like to make a donation in his honor … please visit http://www.fcacc.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DJ Fuzz, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
