Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ravenscroft's Portia Born: April 28, 2008
Sire: CH Rapi vom Canisphere
Dam: Ashracs Hermione Ravenscroft
Both parents (and full sister Kiefer) are available to be seen any time.
Since I'm sending this to more than one person, I'm including info that some may know already.
Portia was sold as a pup to a family who had previously purchased a Ravenscroft pup. For whatever reason, they did not treat Portia as they treated Tonka. She was outside, most of the time, tied up or running free. She was not spayed. Both are major contract breaches, but the family would not give her up to us. In the fall, they decided, because Portia was basically being harassed by a new neighbour's dog (and was fighting back) that it was time to give her up. Since I'm on my own, and have four dogs, two of whom are almost ten and have health issues, I couldn't keep her. I told the people to take her to the Wallaceburg Animal Shelter. I had heard good things about them. And I had heard correctly! I was visitng Portia when a lady came to see her. It was someone I knew and I knew Portia would finally have the home she deserved. And she did. But unfortunately, her saviour passed away on New Year's Eve and now Portia is looking again.
Details: red sable, spayed, no health issues, shots up-to-date, great with kids, very loving, needs to be part of the family, excellent watchdog, excellent in house, very smart, walks well. Is "okay" with other dogs when walking past or with them, but would definitely do better in a home where she is the only dog. She is loyal and whoever is lucky enough to get her will have an absolutely wonderful companion.
If my situation were different, I would have her in a heartbeat.

Thanks for your consideration.
