My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jared is a 1 year old golden mix who is looking for a home to call his own. Jared is a happy boy who loves to play fetch, take walks, go for rides in the car, and wrestle with his foster siblings. Jared has shown a little too much interest in the cat in his foster home so he's looking for a home without cats or other small animals. Jared knows how to "sit" and "lay down" and loves to show off. We think he will learn new tricks quickly as he loves to please his people! Jared gets along well with the 5 year old child in his foster home and loves to play fetch with him or chase him around the house. On Jared's first night in his foster home, he found the basket of doggie toys and hasn't left them alone since! When you are too busy to play fetch, he will toss the toys around by himself.

Jared is housebroken, hasn't chewed on anything he isn't supposed to, and is crate trained. Jared is learning not to jump on people. Since he loves people, we have found that turning our back to him when he does this helps. After he calms down, we return our attention to him. Jared is full of young energy so his forever family will need to be active.
