Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Garrett showed up in one of the many badly run shelters in CA. We asked about him and were told they would not release him to rescue as they were going to evaluate him for shelter adoption. Garret was there for three weeks, living in crowded, chaotic conditions (8 to 10 dogs per kennel). Finally, the shelter got around to temperament testing him. By this time, poor Garrett was so terrified, he snapped at the person trying to grab him out of the kennel. Garrett then went straight to the PTS list where we happily rescued him.
His second day in rescue Garrett went to an adoption event where he was charming to absolutely everyone. So far, he has been great with people of all sizes and with other dogs
.
Garrett is a very easy going dog. He adores wrapping up in a comforter for long naps. He is enjoying walks with the other dogs. If the sun is shining, Garrett likes to lay outside and catch some rays. He was thrilled to discover chewies in his foster home but has shown no interest in the squeaky toys.
We fixed Garrett’s hernia and he had a dental. Garrett is also neutered, micro chipped and current on his vaccinations.
If you are interested in Garrett, please fill out the online adoption application at www.scdr.org
His tax deductible adoption fee is $150
