Felix's Story...
Felix is a young terrier mix who we guess to be about 10-14 months and will only weigh about 20 pounds or so. He is an excellent walk, and is very easily handled by all ages. He is attractive and alert, but unlike most terriers, he is on the calm side. He is housed with an older dog at the moment and gets along fine with him, and when introduced to cats, who are as big as he is, he backed away and started barking, so we will further assess his behavior with cats. Please go to petfinder.com/shelters/IN19.html to begin an application for this pet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Felix, a Brookville Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Brookville, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Brookville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brookville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brookville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brookville paves the way for another one to be saved.
