Barry's Story...
Barry is a great guy! He is primarily white with big black spots like a reverse domino; he is often overlooked by visitors because he is not as “flashy” as other cats in our main room, but he is one of the favorites of our volunteers and frequent visitors. He gets along well with all the cats in our main room, and he loves to play with visitors and volunteers. His easy-going personality will probably fit in well in any forever home where he can play and nap and be a great companion.

About Branford Compassion Club

About Our Shelter...

Branford Compassion Club (BCC) is a non-profit feline
rescue organization that serves not only Branford, CT,
but surrounding shoreline towns. The mission of the club
is to provide for the feeding, shelter and care of homeless,
abandoned and feral cats; to educate the public about the
importance of spay/neuter population control, responsible
pet ownership and kindness to animals; and to establish an
ongoing community network to achieve these goals.

Branford Compassion Club was founded in November 1997,
by a handful of compassionate Branford residents concerned
with the growing population of feral cats. The residents
united to form BCC to alleviate the hunger and suffering
of feral cats in this community.

Come Meet Our Pets...

The Branford Compassion Club is an all volunteer organization, and as such we are only able to be open on Saturdays from 11-3. If you need to come in at a different time, please call and we would be happy to set up an appointment with you.

Our Adoption Process...

At the Branford Compassion Club, we do require a potential adopter to fill out an application, which includes vet history and references, and is then reviewed by an officer of the shelter. Adoptions may happen the same day, if possible. There is an adoption fee of 125$ for adult cats and 150$ for kittens, this fee helps to offset the cost of all the medical procedures done prior to adoption such as:

Medically checked by a veterinarian
Tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS
De-wormed and De-fleaed
Vaccinated against Distemper and Rabies (over 3 months of age)
Spayed/Neutered

The adoption fee also helps us to intake another cat once the space from your new family member opens up.
