Nekay's Story...
This is Nekay. She is a 10 year old, calico & white DSH. She is spayed (not declawed) and current on vaccines until March 2013 and had a full blood work up which was all normal. She is super sweet and affectionate. Her owner wanted to euthanize her because she said she was pottying outside the litter box and a nice woman at the vets office took me home and wanted to see what I would do there. Nekay stayed at the vet hospital for about a week with not one accident out of the box. She then came to the nice womans apartment with her 3 other cats and still has never gone potty out of the box. She seems to do ok with my cats (some hissing on occasion) and she did live with a dog previously. She demands a lot of attention so her foster mom thinks she would be BEST suited to be an only cat, but that she would do okay with other animals. She does seem to have a sensitive stomach and is on a sensitive stomach food and a slow feed bowl. Overall, she is just a doll baby and would love a home to call her own. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nekay, a Sinking Spring Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Sinking Spring, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Sinking Spring.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sinking Spring already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sinking Spring breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sinking Spring paves the way for another one to be saved.
