"Yo Dudes!! My name here at the shelter is "Tygro" and I don't know what that means, but that's what my old owner named me. I'd be happy to have a name that I know what it means...hint hint......Besides they said 'they didn't have room for me'. Wull, gosh, how much room does a cat take?? Less than a dog, that's for sure! So let me tell you about myself:: I'm an exquisite orange tabby whose eyes match my coat, for starters...I'm a big boy, and the girls here all say I'm a HUNK! I hear them chatting at night when the shelter's closed and they are all gossiping among themselves. The Shelter Photographers say I have pretty markings , a cute pink nose and am friendly and funny! And I'm already neutered and I'm ready to get out of this little cage and into a real loving home! Will you be the lucky one to adopt me?? I hope so!" Your pal, Tygro....or whatever you wanna name me, I'm up for it!!
Shelter Info...
We are the Animal Shelter for the City of El Cajon. We also house animals for the City of La Mesa. We take in strays and animals relinquished by their owners from these two City's only. We adopt out the animals that are not claimed by their owners. You do not have to live within the City to adopt an animal from us. We sometimes have animals other than dogs and cats.
We are located in the City of El Cajon which is east of San Diego. 1275 N. Marshall is two blocks north of Fletcher Parkway, Marshall runs parallel with the trolley tracks.
We are open Tuesday thru Saturday 10am to 5pm. The latest we start an adoption is 4:30. We are closed Sundays and Mondays.
Our adoption fee for dogs is $80.00 and cats are $80.00 All other animal adoption fee's are based on the type of animal.
We do an evaluation with you and the animal to be sure that it is the best animal for you. We require that all children in the household under 9 years old be evaluated with the animal and if you are adopting a dog and you currently own a dog, your dog needs to be evaluated with the new dog to be sure they get along.
