Diesel's Story...
Diesel is a 7 month old Australian Cattle Dog / Border Collie mix. He's a happy little guy who was abandoned at an animal hospital and spent several months kenneled. He's happy (VERY happy) in a FOR foster home now, with labs to play with and lots of attention. He's a snuggler, enjoying your lap or a spot beside you on the couch. After months in a kennel, he appreciates a soft spot beside a friendly human more than you can know! He's heartworm negative and on prevention, neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated and has been examined by a vet. He's a healthy young guy. To complete an application, talk with his foster mom, and meet him - please email INFO@FORrescue.net. Diesel is fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Diesel, a Marietta Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
