Diesel's Story...
Diesel is a 7 month old Australian Cattle Dog / Border Collie mix. He's a happy little guy who was abandoned at an animal hospital and spent several months kenneled. He's happy (VERY happy) in a FOR foster home now, with labs to play with and lots of attention. He's a snuggler, enjoying your lap or a spot beside you on the couch. After months in a kennel, he appreciates a soft spot beside a friendly human more than you can know! He's heartworm negative and on prevention, neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated and has been examined by a vet. He's a healthy young guy. About Our Rescue Group...
Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter dogs that are in danger of euthanasia. Rural Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee shelters have a constant overflow of dogs, little funding, and limited space. Once the dogs arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable dogs and adopt them out to loving families. Although our priorities are the retriever breeds, we are not limiting ourselves to retrievers because we know that there are many great dogs that need our help. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these dogs from euthanasia.
