Thorin's Story...
Hi, I'm Thorin, an Aussie/Bassett mix. I am on a quest with my brothers to find a new home that is comfy and warm and will give me lots of attention. I am 8-10 weeks old. I am very bold and playful. I like being with you, sitting on your lap, chewing on your slippers, and playing with toys. I particularly like chewing on shoe laces. I am quite the adventurer and love going for little walks and adventures. I should grow up to be about 30-35 lbs so I will be a medium sized dog. I am working on my house training and crate training. That is going very well but I am still a puppy so of course I need more work. I am microchipped, neutered and fully vaccinated. If you would like to talk to my foster mom, please email INFO@FORrescue.net.
Thorin is being fostered in Huntsville, AL

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thorin, a Knoxville Australian Shepherd/Basset Hound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Basset Hound for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Basset Hound puppy from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Basset Hound breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
