More Information:

I’m Smilin’ Dixie, they call me that ‘cause when I’m excited I wrinkle up my lips and smile! I’m a really good girl but when my family left they ditched me in the pound where I got so scared and no one wanted to meet me, I was super sad. I am in a foster home now and I am so much happier, I can be a little timid when first meeting new people but I am super friendly, I wag my tail a lot and I get along really well with other animals, they let me hang out with the smaller dogs because I am so gentle. I’d love to find a family that has kids a little older, maybe about 10yrs+ so they can help with my care and exercising. I love to be with people! I also know to go potty outside, house trained they call it and I sleep in my crate at night or when I’m alone but if you want I am happy to keep you company in the bedroom! I want to live in a house with a fenced yard, not a condo.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smilin' Dixie, a Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toronto/Etobicoke/GTA paves the way for another one to be saved.
