Desirree's Story...
Desirree was rescued from a high kill shelter. She is 5-6 yo and weighs approx 35 lbs. She is low to the ground and stocky. Desirre is a very loving girl. She gets excited to see new people, loves to hide her squeaky toys, and seems to smile when getting a back scratch. We don't know if she had puppies recently or was overbred. She is good ww/other dogs and children. Great companion!

All pets come w/up to date vaccines, deworming, microchip, and health certificate from veterinarian within 48-72 hrs of transport. Adults are also sterilized and heartworm tested prior to placement. For more information/application visit our website at www.saveamuttkennel.info . TRANSPORTATION TO THE NORTHEAST IS AVAILABLE. (courtesy listing)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Desirree, a Sussex Basset Hound/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Beagle for sale in Sussex, or seeking a Basset Hound/Beagle dog from a breeder in Sussex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sussex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sussex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Beagle breeders who help with Basset Hound/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sussex paves the way for another one to be saved.
