Coco's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Coco's Story...
Coco was found as a stray during the Topaz fire in 2012. The finder surrendered her to the shelter, as they were unable to locate the owners, and they could no longer care for her. She was kept primarily outside, so it is unknown how she is in the house. That being said, our kennel staff says that she is one of the cleanest, and quietest dogs at the shelter. She is very friendly with other dogs and good with children.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Coco, a Gardnerville Chow Chow/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow/Golden Retriever for sale in Gardnerville, or seeking a Chow Chow/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Gardnerville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gardnerville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gardnerville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Chow Chow/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gardnerville paves the way for another one to be saved.
