DARLING DELLA. What a little princess. Adorable rare all black doxie Was just spayed and had the works from our vet. Della is recovering well. She was starved; and had her puppies sold a 5 weeks. She needs to gain weight. Can you provide good home cookin' mixed in with her food? Her owners could not afford flea medication so they shaved he and she is covered in flea bites. So she is not looking her best, but with good nutrition and salmon oil supplements,she will be a living doll in about 30 days. Her coat will all return and will be beautiful . Della is sweet loving and follows volunteers everywhere. She is a tiny girl that fits in a big handbag Della loves her big crate filled with warm blankets from the dryer. She is a little shy but she will come around. She loves it here at the rescue. This was a most terrible case of abuse. She really wants a forever home. Will she be your Valentine?
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same sex in a home and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer no smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues. All our dogs are fully vetted, including all shots, wormer & flea protection, nails trimmed, the works. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $395, no exceptions as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.
